Bridal Accessories
When choosing your bridal accessories, the most important thing to consider is to ensure that the ones you choose do not overpower your wedding gown. Also, the color of the bridal accessories you choose needs to work well with the color of the gown. For instance, an ivory gown goes best with ivory pearls, gold or silver, while a champagne wedding gown goes best with gold accents and dark ivory-colored accessories. Diamonds, crystals, and rhinestones tend to go with any wedding gown color.
Bridal Accessories – Jewelry
There are certain things to consider when choosing your bridal accessory jewelry. Many of today’s popular wedding gowns have low necklines or are strapless. With this type of dress, you should not wear a small necklace, but one that is medium-to-large and that compliments your gown. For those wearing a simple dress with a medium-to-low neckline, you should be looking for more elaborate chunkier jewelry. For those wearing a wedding gown with a high neckline, you should concentrate on finding the perfect set of earrings. Dangling earrings help to widen a narrow face and go well with dresses with high necklines and long hairstyles. Button earrings tend to accentuate those with round faces and go well with hair that is worn up.
The bridal accessories, especially the jewelry, should also always mirror the formality of the entire ceremony. For instance, a formal wedding ceremony calls for jewelry that tends to be somewhat elaborate, while the smaller and more informal wedding ceremony calls for jewelry that is more simplistic. Additionally, brides need to consider the detailing of their dresses and veils when choosing their bridal jewelry. The more detailed the wedding veil and gown, the less elaborate the jewelry should be. Also, if the veil and the gown are adorned with pearls, sequins, and/or crystals, then the jewelry worn should be of the same type. Overall, when selecting bridal accessories and jewelry, you want to balance everything out so that one compliments another.
